2nd Saturday of the Month at Terra Nova in Bell Gardens, CA

Feel the Rhythm of the Drum, the Rhythm of the Earth and the Rhythm of your Heart.

Fee: $10 per person

HealthRHYTHMS isn't about successful drumming, rather the drum is used as a music-making wellness tool. Group Empowerment drumming incorporates physical exercise, communication, creativity, self-expression, and spirituality in a relaxing and fun environment. HealthRHYTHMS is an evidence based protocol that has been shown to reduce stress, strengthen the immune system, improve mood, and reduce burnout. It is “in the moment music-making” that “exercises” brain activity.

Drum circles are one of the longest living forms of community building known to man. Since the Neolithic ages, drums have been found throughout the world showing how important this practice has been for most societies. To survive, tribes depended on one another for sustenance, shelter and also celebration and entertainment activities. This need to work together defines the concept of the history of drum circles. Each member in the circle works together to create music and no participant is of greater or lesser value than the others.

No musical experience is needed.
(Please feel free to bring your own drums or percussion. Some will be provided.)
 Fee: $10.00 per person
